About Gadget Hunting with RR

I'm Ramiz. Since 2022 I've been tracking down the gadgets that slip past the big channels — the clever, the weird, the genuinely useful — and putting them through real use as Gadget Hunting with RR. 584 videos and counting.

Every verdict is based on gear I've actually lived with, not a spec sheet. If a find isn't worth your money, I'll tell you plainly.

How I hunt

Every gadget earns its spot the same way, every time.

• I go looking — no waiting for the mainstream. The best finds are the ones nobody's covering yet. I dig for them so you don't have to.
• I live with it before I judge it. First impressions go in the unboxing. The real verdict comes after it's survived daily use.
• Gimmicks get called gimmicks. Half the fun is a clever idea that works. The other half is warning you when it doesn't.

How the written reviews work

The 17 written reviews on this site are not summaries of someone else's testing, and they are not spun out of a spec sheet. Each one is written from a gadget I filmed myself, and it links out to that video so you can watch the thing being used rather than take my word for it.

• Nothing gets invented to fill a gap. If I didn't test something — battery life over months, how it behaves on a platform I don't own — the review says so instead of guessing. Every review opens with a “tested context” block listing exactly what I did and did not put the gadget through.
• Scores come from the same session as the verdict. Single-product reviews carry a score out of 5. It's my judgement of the thing I used, not a formula, not an average of other people's reviews. Roundups and head-to-heads carry no score at all, because one number can't stand for several products.
• Prices are what I actually saw, on the date I saw them. They go stale — a review that quotes one says when it was checked.
• Photos are mine. Every image is credited on the page it appears on, and anything not shot by me is named as such.

Where the money comes from

Some reviews link to where you can buy the gadget, and some of those links earn a commission if you buy through them — at no extra cost to you. It never changes a verdict: the links go on after the review is written, and plenty of reviews here end with me telling you not to buy the thing. The full policy is on the affiliate disclosure page.
